Roop St 775.887.2244 x 1019 Capital City Reads: A Thousand Splendid Suns CARSON CITY, NEVADA-The Carson City Library would like to invite the entire community to participate in a citywide reading initiative to discuss the timely, and powerful message found in Khaled Hosseini’s best seller, A Thousand Splendid Suns. A community-book discussion will be held at the Carson City Library on Tuesday, April 10th, at 6:00 p.m. This event is one of a weeklong series of special events celebrating National Library Week; an annual celebration sponsored by the Friends of the Carson City Library.
Many book clubs have already read Hosseini’s first novel, the Kite Runner. Book clubs are encouraged to choose this second novel as their selected book-of-the-month.

Patrons may pick up a copy of A Thousand Splendid Suns, while supplies last, at the Carson City Library. A Thousand Splendid Suns is published by the Penguin Book Group.
